Event & Volunteer Coordinator

Volunteer Position

General Summary:

The event & volunteer coordinator will plan and organize monthly donation classes held in support of YoKid’s mission.  The coordinator will also assist with the planning of YoKid’s bi annual program events.

Volunteer responsibilities include:

Assist with planning events, assist with organizing events, and recruiting volunteers as necessary to staff the events.

Creating and implementing well-organized volunteer schedules, drafting templates, draft and send out thank you letters to volunteers, and use of social media.

Work Environment:

The volunteer will primarily work virtually.

Qualifications:

~Proficient in MS Word, Excel, use of online social media, and web-based communication

~Personal laptop (mac preferred)

~Professional, friendly, proactive, and responsible

~Interest in youth development and yoga helpful

Commitment:

Research/planning:  4-5 hours per month; 4 additional hours per event 2 times per year.

Community Outreach Coordinator

Volunteer Position

General Summary:

The volunteer community outreach coordinator will recruit and work with community members interested in supporting YoKid (such as local corporations and businesses); take the lead in drafting applications/paperwork, planning/organizing events and recruiting volunteers as necessary to staff the events.

Volunteer responsibilities include:

Periodic attendance at local business and community meetings and attendance at community fairs/auctions that are identified as possible promotional opportunities.

Creating and implementing well-organized volunteer schedules, drafting templates, making appropriate community connections, and use of social media.

Work Environment:

The volunteer will primarily work virtually.
